This is a timelapse Jackie and I made of driving around San Francisco in my Cushman, infiltrating as many docks off the Embarcadero as possible, flexing a little Cushman privilege when someone would wonder if we're supposed to be there or not. That wooden panel between the headlights holds the top secret camera that was taking a picture every 4 seconds...

Installing the camera:

The camera mount, super high tech and patent pending, with its cheapie ebay fisheye lens:

You can sort of see the laptop on the seat. The brain is a little Python script I wrote that tags each picture with GPS coordinates that it gets live from my Wintec WBT-201, and hopefully when you play the video you see the position of the picture on Google Maps. The picture taking part runs really well and I could conceivably leave the laptop in the trunk, but I like to see the pictures as they're taken. And besides I like to watch everyone freak out when they see the computer in the front seat, they think I'm doing some kind of deep scan on their cars for overdue parking tickets.

Here's a couple of other vids I made in the last few days:

Driving to Santa Cruz (the first one, lots of glitches, and didn't take pics often enough to make it that interesting)

Driving from Santa Cruz to San Francisco (I love this one, but it's nighttime, not much to look at except interestingly streaky headlights). This one also has a youtube version which is super coolio, much higher framerate since it isn't syncing to google maps.

Driving around San Francisco on a Saturday Night (I like this one too, but again, nighttime, mostly just eye candy.)
